Horatio had never been one to make promises lightly, when he promised something, no matter how insignificant, he followed through. It didn’t matter how long it took for him to fulfill his promises, all that mattered was that he did. So when he promised himself and his brother’s widow that he would clear Ray’s name, Horatio had been deadly serious. It had taken him a few years and it had almost cost him his life, but he had finally cleared his brother’s name. And now he felt that it was time for him to let Yelina know how he had really felt for her.

As she watched her husband playing with their son, Yelina knew that everything that she had was because of Horatio. A smile formed on her lips as she thought about her brother-in-law. She was thankful to have had him; he had been her rock when she had believed Ray was dead. Horatio had made sure that she and her son were take care of. He had even cleared his brother’s name and then he had given her a second chance with her husband. Yet she wasn’t as happy as she should have been. She realized that while she had been too busy denying her true feelings and thanking Horatio for doing the right thing, the honorable thing, and by doing so she had wasted too much time. As Ray looked up from their son and smiled at her, Yelina felt a coldness in her heart. She was with the wrong brother and she had missed her chance to rectify her original mistake. But she knew that no matter what happened, she was where she belonged to be and for that she was very thankful. And Horatio, once again, had known what was right for her even before she had.
