B’s voice was what kept her grounded. It was what made Faith realize that she was dreaming. In all the time that they had been friends and enemies, Buffy had never spoken to her in such a gentle tone. Faith was unable to decipher what the blonde Slayer was trying to tell her but it pulled her from the dark and brought her to another place. A place of dreams where she could sometimes connect to the other Slayer like Faith had failed to do when she had been awake. Yet the sound of B’s voice created a fragile bridge between the two Slayers. She just didn’t know what if she wanted to use that bridge when she finally left this place of dreams.
