Notes: Written for fanfic100  for prompt #36 (smell). Set during ATS Season Four, during “Orpheus.”

            Their fight was one of the most intense fights he had had in a very long time. Unlike Buffy, Faith was a Slayer to reckon with. She didn’t seem to care that the face and body that he wore had once belonged to her beloved mentor. Faith fought with a passion and an intensity that Buffy just lacked. But she was slowly becoming tired, which was making it easier for him to hit her. Soon enough he was able to pull her into his deadly embrace. Although she struggled against him and tried to break free, her attempts were in vain.
”Looks like you’ve gotten yourself caught, darlin’” Angelus purred.
”Let me go you sick son of a bitch!”
”Now, you know I can’t do that.”
            Angelus smirked as he listened to her curses; Faith was certainly a Slayer full of fire, something that was rare. He inhaled her scent before he sunk his fangs deep into her neck. He became distracted by the rich, spicy taste of her intoxicating blood and he failed to notice that her blood was tainted with a drug until it was too late. By the time, he noticed that his senses were dulling and that something was wrong, it was too late for him to do anything but give himself up to the effects of the drug. He violently pushed her away as he looked around him.
”What the fuck did you do?” Angelus snarled, all traces of frivolity erased from his voice.
”Looks like you’ve gotten yourself caught,” Faith mockingly replied as she watched him collapse to the ground in a drug-induced haze.
            The smell of her blood was starting to make her ill and she felt the drug and the blood loss catch up to her as she became dizzy and weak. She struggled to sit up as she called out for Wesley to help her.
