As she ran the shard of glass against Wesley’s skin, Faith watched as the blood slowly welled up from the wound. She was tempted to run her tongue along the path that she had created but she resisted the temptation since what was happening wasn’t about lust. The blood fascinated her and it reminded her of how much control she had over Wesley’s life and death right at this moment. She smirked as she watched the emotions that he was experiencing clearly written on his face: rage, pain and hate. The holy trinity of emotion that had her life had been made up of for so long. Faith wondered what would happen if she put down the shard of glass and tried to talk to him instead of trying to slowly kill him. What would he do if she asked him why he had been such a crappy Watcher when she had desperately needed him. But she knew what he would say, he would put the blame on her or on the Council or on Giles or on anyone but himself, that seemed to be his way when it came to their screwed up relationship. When he had arrived in Sunnydale, he had been too busy wetting his pants over the chance of having Buffy as his Slayer to care about her. And then he had been too busy lusting after Cordelia Chase to give a damn about her, other than to order her about. So instead of asking him, she ran the shard of glass against skin again, this time a little harder so that the cut was deeper and more blood flowed from the wound. Maybe if she kept cutting him like this, his blood would purify her from the past.
”That’s it baby, let it bleed,” Faith purred at him.
