Title: Failed Mind Games 1/1
Author: Sweetness (aaronlisa@gmail.com)
Pairing: Buffy/Dracula
Rating: FR13
Disclaimer: The Buffyverse belongs to Joss Whedon and company.
Notes: Set post-Chosen, Dracula seeks out Buffy once again. Written for goddess_loki who suggested the pairing and the theme of mind games.
She should have known that a vampire like Dracula would seek her out more than once, especially after her triumphant battle with the First. A vampire like Dracula would want to gloat over being right about her. When he appeared in his misty form and materialized to seduce her, Buffy burst out into laughter. Dracula, of course, looked offended at her mirth but she couldn’t help it.
“Are you quite done?” Dracula asked her in an imperious tone.
“Yes,” Buffy simply replied as she remembered Spike’s bitterness towards Dracula’s gypsy tricks.
“So have you realized that I was right, that there is a darkness in your soul? That our natures are similar?”
“Yeah, yeah and death is my gift.”
”You should take me more seriously.”
”Perhaps you should take yourself less seriously?”
”I will come back to you when you are more receptive to me.”
”Nah, that’s not going to happen,” Buffy said.
“But we are alike in so many ways.”
”Perhaps but I’m not some soulless blood sucking demon who relies on gypsy parlour tricks. I might not be able to destroy you with conventional means, but I can find away if you don’t leave me and my Slayers alone.”
“Fine, but you’ll regret the lack of knowledge I could have provided you with,” Dracula said as he pouted.
“I really don’t think that you have anything to teach me.”
“Be that way, but I warn you that …”
”Blah, blah, you should be warning me that you’re full on hot air,” Buffy interrupted him before driving a stake through his heart.
