            Nothing seemed to be going her way today. Everything that could go wrong for her seemed to be doing so, regardless of how minor or major it was. Not only were the Senior Partners in a very demanding mood today, but Gavin was being his usual annoying self.
”Having a rough day, Lilah?” Gavin asked in his normal smug tones.
“What would make you ask that?” Lilah responded as she tried to sound relaxed and unrushed.
“The Partners aren’t too happy with how you’re handling Angel as of late,” Gavin said as he pushed the button in the elevator for her floor.
“Gavin, I am sure that you think you could do better, but I can tell you now, you’d probably wind up with a sword in your gut.”
”I wouldn’t be so sure of that.”
”Fine, you think you can do a better job because you’re such a better toady, so why don’t you take control of the project? Oh that’s right, you’ve made more blunders and errors when it’s come to Angel than that new typist from Sunnydale.”
‘Lilah, you’re on thin ice,” Gavin warned.
“Do me a favour, gloat when you have something to gloat over. The Senior Partners always overwork those who they have confidence in,” Lilah curtly responded before smirking at the other lawyer.

Yay! I am glad you liked it. To be honest, I love Lilah. She's a great character, but she terrifies me when I have to write her.
