Watching the two of them in a fight was like watching a complicated ballet. They were always in sync with one another and they seemed to be able to communicate with one another silently. They were a deadly duo when it came to fighting demons, and their reputation had been enough to scare demons out of town. Somehow they had managed to get over their differences, and where no one else had been able to, Faith had managed to calm the reckless streak in Connor. They were perfectly balanced together, and it showed when they fought together. It was their fighting that had led to the development of their relationship. A relationship that had started because of the violet coloured bruises marring Faith’s otherwise pristine skin following a fight with vampires in the alleyway behind the Hyperion. Connor had been surprised to see the bruises on her; he had assumed that she had better healing than he did since he had never seen them before. His concern had been evident on his face, causing her to stop and take a second look at him. Prior to that moment she had always viewed him as Angel’s annoying son with an attitude problem. He had been rambling about the bruises on her, and she had leaned over and kissed him. The passion that was always beneath the surface between the two of them erupted with that kiss, and her bruises were forgotten as they frantically raced up the stairs to her room where they shed their clothes and embraced one another. After that, the two were never separated from one another. And what the others around them seemed to fail at, they managed to find together.
