Good news, I have my muse back. And I've figured out the pairings for this fic.

Notes: An alternate universe following the events in “Lover’s Walk.” This part takes place during “Choices.”

“Who’s going to stop me, little girl?” Angelus drawled as he pulled the trembling girl even closer to him.
“I am,” Giles said as he shoved a cross into the vampire’s face as Cordelia aimed a crossbow at him.
            Angelus managed to retain his hold on Willow as Giles’ cross burnt into his face. Finally as he pulled away from the cross, he let go of the redhead enough for Giles to pull her away from the vampire. Everything seemed to move in slow motion for Giles as he pulled Willow behind him as he faced the snarling vampire. He thought that his death was certain.
”Back off!” Cordelia threatened.
“Or what?” Angelus snarled.
“If you want to go about your merry little way, you’ll back off.”
“Yeah right, as if you’re just going to let me walkout of here,” Angelus said as he took a step back.
“Well unless you’re suggesting that we just stand around here all day, I don’t see a better option, do you?” Cordelia said in a bored tone.
“I could kill you all.”
”No you could kill one of us, which would cause the other two to kill you. So what is it going to be?”
”I don’t trust you to not try to resoul me,” Angelus growled.
“Oh please, why would we waste our time so you could just lose your soul again? And even if we did, what are you going to do about it? It’s not as if I trust you to not come back and attempt to kill us all.”
”No, there is going to be no resouling at all.”
”The playing field has considerably changed since you were last on the loose, I can assure you that there will be no soul restoration,” Giles said wearily.
“Fine, I’ll even play fair. You have two minutes to get out of here, before I come after you,” Angelus said with a feral grin.

“Do you think we should go in there?” Faith asked as she lazily watched Buffy dust the last vampire.
“No, let’s give it a few more minutes,” Buffy coldly replied as she dusted herself off.
“So why do you hate them so much, I thought Willow was your best friend and all?”
”She was but things change.”
”What changed?”
”None of your business.”
”Whatever, B.”
’I think that it’s time we went in,” Buffy said as she glared at the other Slayer.

Hon, in the last chapter, it sounded like perhaps Buffy was pretending to hate Willow to fool the Mayor. Why does she hate her again in this chapter?

Other than that question, I enjoyed this. Thanks for posting?

I'll be answering that in the next chapter or two. Trust me, Buffy's behaviour will be explained. Also I've tried to keep Faith as close to canon as I could get without her going evil. Which means Faith comes across as brash, obnoxious and the complete opposite of Buffy. And definitely not someone Buffy is going to confide in.
