FIC: Lost & Found 1/? PG-15

starlit_desiresI am a little hestitant to post this one because I am still working on it and I am still not sure of the pairing. Right now it's Willow/Angel but it might become W/A/C. My muse is being uncooperative with me at this time. Everytime I think I know where this one is going, my muse throws me a curveball. Anyhow, here's the first part I am going to try to get another part posted either tonight or tomorrow. Plus Buffy is being really out of character in this fic, more so than normal.

In all of his years, both as a mortal and then as a vampire, he had never met a group of humans or demons more callous and cruel to one of their own as Buffy and her so-called Scoobies were. Then again, American teenagers seemed to be cruel enough to give most demons a run for their money. It had all started when Spike had come back to town and had decided to kidnap Willow to have her perform a love spell. While he and Buffy had been confronting Spike, Oz and Cordelia had managed to find where Spike was keeping Willow and Xander. Everything had turned into one big mess at that precise moment. What had happened in the aftermath had made Angel re-evaluate his feelings for Buffy.
At first, he had kept telling himself that everything would blow over in a matter of time. But after two months, he started to doubt that it would. Willow had been held responsible, while Xander had been quickly forgiven for their indiscretion. Only Cordelia and Giles hadn’t put Willow in the role of the scarlet woman. Neither of them had been able to talk any sense into the others. It wasn’t until Angel finally confronted Buffy on patrol that he found out why the others were continuing to ostracizing Willow.
“Buffy, you know that this is wrong. Willow only committed a minor indiscretion, as did Xander.”
“She did more than that,” Buffy replied coldly.
“What do you mean?”
“She told Xander to tell me to kick your ass when I had to fight you and she restored your soul. Its because of her that I had to send you to Hell.”
“What does that have to do with things now?” Angel asked as he tried to process what Buffy had just told him.
“Everything,” Buffy said flatly.
“How about you just enlighten me?”
”She wanted to perform a delusting spell when Spike kidnapped her.”
”Yes, I know that. She apparently wanted to do that because she felt that what she and Xander were doing was wrong.”
”Yeah right!” Buffy exclaimed as she folded her arms across her chest.
“What do you mean?” Angel growled as he grabbed her by her arms.
“What’s your problem, Angel? If she needed to perform a delusting spell, it’s obviously because she had preformed a love or lust spell. Why else would Xander suddenly show interest in her?”
”Maybe because he’s a teenage boy?”
”The only person that Willow ever attracted was some vamp stuck in the 1980s.”
“You’re wrong about that. Angelus certainly liked Willow over you,” Angel growled as he violently pushed Buffy away from him.
“What are you saying?” Buffy demanded from the ground where she fell.
“I’m saying that you’re a foolish and immature little girl, who had better be careful.”
”Is that a threat?”
”No, it’s a promise.”
Before Buffy could react to his words, Angel had disappeared into the night leaving her furious over his words and attitude. As she dusted herself off, she promised that she would make him pay for the way that he had treated her.
