“I thought that you wanted out of the lab?” Grissom asked.
“I did, but they were short and Catherine asked me to run a few tests for an urgent case before my shift started. That’s alright, isn’t it?”
”As long as it won’t affect your work on your shift tonight, I don’t see a problem.”
”Good, I didn’t want to get in trouble.”
“Once a lab tech, always a lab tech?” Sara asked as she entered the lab.
“Something like that,” Greg said as he looked down.
“Well you should hurry up, it’s almost time for our meeting,” Grissom said as he walked out of the lab.
”Look Greg, I didn’t mean anything by my comment.”
”It’s all right, Sara. I’m used to being called a geek or lab rat. It’s true I even missed the lab. Anyhow you heard Grissom.”
“Okay,” Sara said as she walked out of the lab.
            She hoped that she hadn’t really offended Greg by her comment. Especially since she had decided to give up on Grissom and try something with someone who was obviously interested in her. And Greg was a great guy, and now she’d probably put her foot in her mouth and ruined everything.
