This one was written for cornerofmadness who surprisingly enough wanted Connor. I liked her challenge, and I think I might expand on this with some she commented on when we were discussing the original post about Fred or Gunn teaching Connor something. So expect to see a sequel or second part to this one. I really wanted to deal with Connor's emotions and this is what came up. I just have to finish lillbrek 's request and velvetwhip 's request amongest others.

Notes: Written for cornerofmadness who wanted “Connor in those few weeks on earth after Angel went for his long swim.” I decided to focus on his emotions during that period.

            He couldn’t ever remember feeling a sense of freedom and elevation like the one that he was currently feeling. He decided that he had to be in heaven, as there could be no other explanation for it. If he was honest with himself, he knew what the real reason for his happiness, but he didn’t want to dwell on it. Especially when he wasn’t with Fred or Gunn who could focus on two things: the mysterious disappearances of Angel and Cordelia, and locating Angel.
            As he watched them uselessly focusing their search on Angel, instead of Cordelia, he couldn’t help but feel angry. It wasn’t as if he could tell them that Angel was better off in his watery grave, but it still angered him. They had stopped fighting demons and protecting the innocents in favour of searching for Angel, a vampire who had caused so much harm that Connor felt he could never really atone for it.
            The more he thought about how Fred and Gunn were wasting precious time that could be used to find Cordelia, the angrier he became. And the angrier he became, the more he thought that he had to be in some type of hell. After all, there could be no other explanation for it.
