The feeling that she was a sacrificial lamb was one that the brunette couldn’t seem to shake. Especially when she looked into Willow’s eyes, which had turned from their normal green into black as she channeled the magic for her spell. Not much scared Faith anymore but looking into those eyes that were normally warm and loving and seeing nothing but a soulless coldness was enough to cause fear. She cautiously watched Willow perform the ritual and she hastily offered her hand when prompted to by the powerful witch. Faith could understand why Buffy had practically begged her to take part in this ritual that required a Slayer’s blood. If seeing Willow full of power and magic terrified her, she could only imagine what it would do to Willow’s friends. Faith decided that she would refuse to take part in the next ritual to locate more Slayers. A Slayer’s blood was all the same regardless of the Slayer from which it came, any Slayer could stand in and offer the blood that Willow required. They might be different, but their blood possessed the same magical properties. When it came down to it, Faith might not have saved the world as many times as Buffy had, but she had more than paid her dues. She didn’t need to feel the icy cold fingers of fear grip her heart as she watched Willow look like she had lost her soul and her goodness.
