starlit_desiresOkay I will admit that I wrote this way back in January when I still had the CSI: Miami claim for fanfic100, it was also before my new favourite Horatio ship started to really develop on the show... Although I love Horatio/Marisol, I still love Horatio/Yelina.

When she had left with her husband and son, Horatio had done his best to move on. She was where she belonged with his brother and his nephew; Yelina was unattainable and she would always remain that way. He had never once regretted what he had done, even if it had broken his heart. His feelings for her were put aside because they had to be and because it was the right thing to do. Yelina deserved to be with the man that she had married and had loved; it wasn’t within Horatio to deny her what she had wanted for so long. So when she returned to Miami, his first thought was that something was wrong and that it had brought her back to Miami. He didn’t think for one moment that she was back because she had missed him and that she loved him more than his brother, but as her hand slipped into his, he realized that she had come back for him.
