Title: Comfort
Author: Sweetness (aaronlisa@gmail.com)
Pairing: Faith/Angel interaction
Rating: FR13
Disclaimer: The Buffyverse belongs to Joss Whedon and company.
Notes: Written for both fanfic100 for prompt #15 (blue) and for
keith5by5 who wanted this pairing and color. An AU fic set during BTVS Season Five/ATS Season Two. I used the colour more as the feeling rather than the colour in this fic.
It had been decided that the best way for Faith to find redemption was if she assisted Angel. Buffy had been reluctant at first because she hadn’t believed that Faith was serious, but in the end the blonde had been persuaded by Angel. Although she was still suspicious, Buffy’s time had been quickly eaten up by protecting the key in the form of her younger sister from a hell goddess bent on finding the key. And now Faith was the only Slayer left following Buffy’s sacrifice to protect Dawn and the world. The brunette felt so lost as she listened to Willow’s words and she could only imagine what the others back in Sunnydale must feel. It seemed wrong to Faith that it was now up to her to continue Buffy’s legacy and to protect the world from the forces of darkness. And she knew that it was expected of her to go to Sunnydale to continue the fight that Buffy had started. Both Angel and Willow had told her to worry about the consequences later, but Faith’s stomach tied itself up into knots as she worried about the situation. She would be returning back the place where she had caused so much trouble and where she had hurt so many people. It seemed natural for her to seek out Angel for comfort but it was as she saw him sitting forlornly on his bed that she realized he was the one who needed comfort the most. She had the weight of the world on her shoulders, but he had lost the one person in the world who had meant everything to him. She wrapped her arms around him silently and pulled him close to her, he needed someone and if she could offer him comfort then she would. It was a small price for her to pay after he had given her a second chance, and she knew that she would give anything to show her gratitude to him. So when she felt his lips against her neck, she didn’t put up any resistance, instead Faith followed his lead.
