Enjoy the Silence

This one was written for the Female Ficathon (it's my second assignment) and I apologize for it's lateness. The challenge was great but I had a hard time with it for some reason. It does stray to a degree from the requests, it was hard not to be angsty, but I did try to write some of this tongue in cheek. Let me know what you think.
