            Her mother had taught her one valuable lesson while she had been growing up and that was the lesson of running away. Faith had lost count of how many times they had packed up and moved when she had been a child. Sometimes it had been to get away from bad boyfriends, or bad jobs, or because her mom had forgotten to pay the rent or her bills. In the end it never really mattered why, they just ran away. So when the Watchers’ Council had approached her, Faith had just packed her things and left her mother without telling her a word. Soon after that, she’d found herself on the run again, this time she was running from a master vampire and the death of her Watcher. Once she’d arrived in Sunnydale, Faith had hoped that she wouldn’t have to take flight again. She liked B quite a bit and she even liked B’s friends and Giles. She could only hope that she’d be able to put down some roots for once because she was so tired of running.
