He watched her as she danced under the moon, and he was amazed by how she reminded him of Drusilla. Except she was like a goddess: untouchable, unattainable and ageless. He could tell that she had been touched in someway by the supernatural, after all normal young women did not dance under the full moon in this day and age. There was something about her that drew him to her and he was powerless to resist that draw, no matter how many times he told himself that it was wrong to be attracted to her. She was what kept him in this town. So when she held out her arms to him, he found himself reaching out and entering her embrace. As the spun around in her crazy dance, Angel felt thing that he hadn’t felt in so long. Things he hadn’t felt since the gypsy girl. The stolen blood in his veins raced in a parody of life as she pulled him closer to her. They tumbled to the ground and she placed kisses on his face. The spell that the raven-haired temptress had cast upon him seemed to make him feel alive, as if his heart was beating in his chest once again. No words passed between them as she quickly removed their clothes. He gave himself up to her power and he was blind to anything but her. If she was a goddess underneath the silvery light of the moon, then he was a supplicant seeking her mercy and forgiveness for the sins he had committed. It didn’t matter to him that under normal conditions, he would have recognized the madness in her that reminded him of home and those touched by the fairies. But these conditions were anything but normal and all that mattered was the few stolen moments with her where he felt free.
