Notes: Written for fanfic100  for prompt #64 (fall). Set during the Faith-arc in the second half of ATS.

 

            He had asked her to trust him and she was terrified of opening up to someone else again. She was afraid that if she trusted him, that he would fail her like everybody else in her life had. It didn’t matter if he had once been in her shoes and that he knew what she was experiencing. Not did it matter that he knew how hard it was to resist the temptation to revert to old habits of indifference and violence instead of dealing with the pain. Yet at the same time, she knew that for things to get better she needed to take a leap of faith and to risk falling. So she did the only thing that she could do and she placed her trust in him.
