Notes: Written for goddess_loki  who wanted to see Ecklie arguing with one of the CSI’s and the colour silver. Set towards the end of Season Four.

 

“How dare you?” Sara angrily demanded.
“Would you quit making a scene,” Ecklie hissed.
”Making a scene? You’re accusing me of sleeping with my boss!”
“I didn’t say anything of the sort.”
”You insinuated it,” Sara snarled as she felt her temper race through her blood stream like quicksilver.
“I did no such thing. I merely warned you that the crime lab was due for some serious change and you should watch your step.”
”That’s not what you said!”
”I’d watch that nasty temper of yours,” Ecklie cautioned.
“Or what?”
“Or you might find yourself in trouble.”
”What are you insinuating now?” Sara demanded as she folded her arms against her chest.
”I’m not insinuating anything. Everyone in this lab knows that you are a loose canon. Not only will your temper cost you your job but it can put your precious Grissom’s career in jeopardy.”
”You’re so full of yourself, Ecklie.”
”I’ll let that pass this time, Sidle, but be warned that the next time you threaten a supervisor, I’ll have you up on disciplinary action. Watch your step.”
            Sara watched in anger as Ecklie walked away. She couldn’t believe the nerve of the man, just because rumors were circulating that one of the supervisors would be named the new head of the crime lab. The man had not only threatened her but he’d also threatened Grissom, and he thought that he could get away with it. She snorted as she thought that no one would put Ecklie in charge of the lab.
