Notes: Written for goddess_loki  who gave me the suggestion for this fic with the pairing and the theme of a first heartbreak. This is set during BTVS 1x12.

 
            There would be a time when she would be able to look at the memory of Xander asking her out after Buffy had rejected with him with some fondness. But right now, all Willow could feel was the pain of her heart breaking over Xander’s callous treatment. She couldn’t remember a time when she hadn’t loved Xander. He had been a part of her life and her dreams ever since she had broken the yellow crayon in kindergarten. And she had hoped that he would finally see her as an attractive young woman. Instead Buffy had moved to Sunnydale and Xander had fallen head over heals for the blonde Slayer. And he only seemed to see Willow as a way to soothe her pride. She sighed as she started to cry.
