Do you read or write fanfiction? Both
When did you first start reading/writing fanfiction? I started reading around the summer of 2003. And I started writing just around December 2003/January 2004.
What was your first fandom? Buffy the Vampire Slayer, closely followed by Angel the series.
First ship? Willow/Angel(us), closely followed by Willow/Spike
What website do you use most? Right now it's my site Blood & Fang and Livejournal.
What do you think of Fanfiction.net? To be honest I really don't care for it that much, I only ever go there if someone on my FL or on a group has rec'd a fic over there.
What fandoms have you written in? The Buffyverse (both ATS & BTVS), CSI, CSI: Miami, Labyrinth and I am starting to drabble in Harry Potter. I also once wrote a Ginger Snaps drabble.
Pairings? At one point I'd try any pairing. I find though that I am most comfortable with character studies than actual pairings. But I do enjoy reading Willow/Angel(us), and Draco/Hermione the most, right now.
Any fandoms you would like to write in? the Harry Potter fandom. Although I am starting a drabble, it's really a crossover with ATS. I don't really have the confidence quite yet to do a full fledge HP fic.
Do reviews affect how you write in any way? Sometimes. If it's just "this is good" then it doesn't really do anything for me. But I've had people's reviews influence me to write certain pairings and to continue one-shot fics into longer pieces.
Do you use a beta? I am trying to get better and use a beta. But I am very impatient when it comes to my fics. I tend to also write them out with pen & paper before I sit down and type them so I do usually do some style of self editing myself.
What ratings do you read/write? I won't write NC-17 or G rated fics. But I will read any rating.
What warnings have you used on your fiction/read? I've usually use warnings for when there's a character death and/or swearing in my fics. And spoilers, that's about it. I don't usually let a warning stop me.
Do you have any squicks? real person slash fics, and incest.
Do you Role-play online? I used to but I had to stop because I couldn't put enough commitment into the game.
If so, what? It was End of Days.
Have you ever stolen something from another person's work? I don't plagarize academically, I'm not about to start to doing it for writing.
Favorite fandom to write/read? Hands down it's the Buffyverse.
Favorite pairing? Willow/Xander, Willow/Angel(us)
How long should a chapter be? That really depends on the chapter's purpose.
Do you write/read drabbles? Both
Any fandoms you avoid? Usually fandoms that I don't watch or read. And fanfic for bands/real people.
Pairings you avoid? Generally ones with Buffy but I usually give them a chance. I've read some really good fics by having an open mind. Pairings that I'd avoid would be ones that had incest in them.
Warnings you avoid? Incest, Twincest, and RPS.
Do the number of reviews tell how good a story is? NO, I've read some excellent fics with little or no reviews and read others that were horrible with lots of reviews.
What do you think of Mary Sues? I don't see the point in Mary Sues.
Have you ever flamed someone? I've read some pretty bad fics but I've never have told anyone to outright avoid an author nor have I told the author that their work was crap. I wouldn't want to be flamed and since I believe in the whole do onto others as you would have done onto you philosophy, I don't flame others.
Have you ever been flamed? Not that I am aware of.
