Notes: A drabble written for a suggestion made by goddess_loki . Set during the first half of BTVS Season Two.

Xander shook his head in disgust. It just didn’t seem fair that every time that he was interested in someone, that she was attracted to someone older and more sophisticated than he was. Well unless she was a demon of some sort, then there never seemed to be a problem with the woman returning his interest. It was bad enough that Buffy was madly in love with Angel, but it was made worse by the fact that Angel was a vampire. He had finally gotten over the sting of Buffy’s rejection to only find himself attracted to another woman who couldn’t even see him as anything more than a goofy, clumsy boy. He almost wished that the subject of his affection were a demon, because then she would actually look at him. It wasn’t that he wanted Jenny to be a demon or even uninterested in Giles to be honest, he just wanted her to notice him and see beyond his exterior. But he knew that wouldn’t happen, especially not while Jenny only had eyes for the older and sophisticated Giles.
