Ok this is my first attempt at writing Faith/Tara and I had a hard time with it. But since it was requested I thought I'd still post it. It's unbeta'd.

Tara listened as Faith came into the apartment that they shared. From the sounds of it, it appeared as if Faith had been unsuccessful in finding Angelus. Tara sighed as she listened to the familiar sounds as Faith moved throughout the apartment to the shower. She held her breath as she heard Faith drop her weapons to the floor before kicking off her boots. She exhaled as she heard Faith’s jacket miss the couch and land on the floor and the sound of the metal buttons hitting the floor. Her stomach tightened as she listened to Faith walk past her room. Tara was unable to explain her attraction to the brunette Slayer, especially since Faith was so hard, cold and strong. Faith was everything that Willow wasn’t and hadn’t been. Tara hissed as she thought of Willow. It still pained her to think of the redhead. However she didn’t regret coming to L.A., it had been for the best.
She heard Faith’s low groan from the bathroom and Tara knew that Faith was physically pushing herself too hard in her hunt for Angelus. But Tara didn’t know what she could do to make Faith stop. The only thing that she could do was try to help heal Faith’s wound and make her better in time for the following night when Faith would go out again. So she got out of bed and made her way to the bathroom. She hesitated at the closed door before knocking on it. She cautiously entered the room when Faith called out for her to do so.
“What’s up?” Faith asked as she continued to undress.
“Uhm, I just wanted to, uh, give you something for your bruises,” Tara mumbled as she started to blush.
“Really? Is it magic?” Faith asked as she leaned down to adjust the temperature of the water.
“It is,” Tara replied honestly.
“I don’t know I am not really into that whole magic stuff.”
“Well it’s not really a spell or anything like that, it’s just some anointment made up with some ingredients and that,” Tara said and blushed as Faith lazily stretched.
“Hmmm… how do you apply it?”
“Well when you’re done in the shower you can apply it on your wounds.”
”I’ll give it a try.’
”Okay,” Tara said as she set the container down on the counter and then rushed from the room.
It seemed as if only a matter of minutes had passed before Faith was knocking on her door. Before she could even say anything, Faith had opened the door and sat down on the bed.
“I need your help,” Faith said.
“With what?”
”Well the majority of my bruises are on my back, do you think you could put that goop on it?”
”Sure,” Tara replied as Faith turned around so that her back was facing Tara.
The two were silent as Tara applied the anointment to Faith’s back, both lost in their thoughts at the closeness of the other and the impossibility of the other actually feeling the same thing for one another. It was Faith who broke the silence.
“I know I am not Willow, but lie to me and tell me I’m beautiful.”
”What?” Tara asked, momentarily stunned with what Faith was asking her.
“Never mind, forget I said anything,” Faith said as she started to get up.
“Faith wait!”
”What?” Faith asked as she stopped moving.
‘I don’t have to lie to you, you are beautiful.”
”Tara…”
”No really, I’ve wanted you ever since I first saw you,” Tara said as she pulled the Slayer down into her arms.
