Summary: For once, Faith is needed.
Faith had been brought to Sunnydale to help out since the death of Buffy, and the brunette found that she had a very large pair of shoes to fill. And it wasn’t only when it came to protecting Sunnydale from the Hellmouth and the demons that it attracted. There were also Buffy’s friends, her Watcher and her sister. It was Dawn that upset Faith the most. There were times when Dawn would look to Faith for guidance and then there were the other times when the girl would rage at Faith and blame her for Buffy’s death. Faith would never be exactly what Dawn needed but she was the perfect substitute at times. She had lost count of the number of times that Dawn had given her something of Buffy’s to wear, or had crawled into bed with her, just so that she could be close to a Slayer. In the end, Faith regarded Dawn as just another part of her penance for the crimes that she had committed.
