The first time that Willow meets Illyria; she is uncomfortable around the former God-king. Unlike the others, Willow is not unnerved by the power that she radiates. Instead the red head is reminded of her failure to help Angel at the time of his greatest need. She doesn’t care that she hadn’t been given the chance to help him since Giles and Buffy had heavily-handed stolen that option from her. All that matters to Willow was that Angel had needed her and she had failed him. As she looks into the cold eyes that were once warm, Willow lowers her head in shame.
