100moods for prompt #3 (anger). Set during ATS Season One.
Ever since she had found out that her parents were broke and she had nothing, Cordelia Chase was no longer quick to anger. It was an emotion that she could barely afford; instead she focused her anger in finding a way to get out of Sunnydale. And now that she was out of Sunnydale, she couldn’t help the anger that she currently felt towards Buffy Summers. The blonde Slayer might be Angel’s first love and she might even be his soul mate, but that still didn’t give Buffy the right to barge in to Angel Investigations and tell Angel what to do. Nor did it give her the right to waltz right back to Sunnydale, leaving Cordelia with the job of cleaning up the Slayer’s messes. Buffy didn’t have to deal with a brooding vampire who Cordelia had to motivate so that he would deal with the visions that she had. The brunette decided that the next time Buffy called and begged for their help, she would just hang up on her. Cordelia’s main focus was ensuring that her Angel stayed true to his quest for redemption. She didn’t think that it was odd that she was starting to think of the brooding vampire with a soul as her’s; all that she did know was that she was slowly starting to fall in love with Angel. And she knew that she would do anything to protect him from hurt and pain whenever she could, even if it was caused by his first love.
