This one is not really au in the traditional sense of an au fic but I felt that the writers really glossed over a lot of things during Season Seven (probably due to time constraints), but I've always felt that there was a very strong potential Willow-arc for Season Seven that was largely ignored. So in a lot of ways, this fic is more what could have happen if there had been more than 22 episodes for Season Seven.

au100 for prompt #9 (months). Set during BTVS Season Seven.
Learning that she had been an addict had been an unpleasant experience for Willow Rosenberg. It had been something that she had refused to accept in Sunnydale, even after she had almost destroyed the world. But it had been the first thing that the coven had done when she had arrived in England. They had forced her to accept responsibility for what she had done and for what she had become. However, it still made her feel uncomfortable to know that she had fallen so low. Even now, months after she had first arrived in England, Willow would sometimes wake up in the middle of the night. She would be covered in a cold swear as she lay in her bed trembling as the ugly word of addict rang through her mind over and over again. It was a constant reminder of how she had failed her friends, her family, her lover, and most importantly herself. She would never be the same Willow Rosenberg and she desperately wanted to be that sweet, naïve girl again instead of someone who still felt the need to cast magic for the high that it gave her.
