            As she looked out of her window, she was unable to make out anything in the darkness of the moonless night. She had hoped to see a glimmer of light, something that could prove Angelus wrong and something that she could pin her hopes of rescue on. But in the end, she knew that her situation was hopeless. She had somehow managed to capture Angelus’ attention and he would destroy her before he gave her up. It wouldn’t matter if Buffy had an army of Slayers on her side to rescue Willow. There was no escaping or denying of her fate, and she decided to give into Angelus rather than prolong the inevitable by fighting him any longer.
