It had been easy for her to turn against Buffy when she had defected to the Mayor’s side. The image of how her life would be if she stayed on Buffy’s side was not something that she had wanted to see become a reality. She would be forever cast in the role of the wild, irresponsible Slayer in comparison to Buffy’s dutiful and saintly Slayer. Not only that but she would forever be living in Buffy’s shadow. The thought of being considered inferior had made the transition from friend to enemy exceptionally easy for her. And once it had happened, Faith refused to look back.
