All of her life, Alexandra had felt as if she had been waiting for something or someone. As a result, she had distanced herself from her cousins along Crowhaven Road for that very reason. She had watched with jealous eyes as they had easily paired off with one another, while an inner voice told her to be patient and to wait. And then John Blake had arrived like the lost son of Crowhaven Road and she knew that he had been the one that she had been waiting for. When they first touched, Alexandra had felt something akin to an electrical shock along her spine. Little did she know that he had laid a delicate trap and that she had been caught from that first moment when she had seen him. All Alexandra Howard knew was that he drew her to him like a moth to a flame, and his heady kisses clouded her mind. By the time that the coven knew the truth about John, it was already too late. She knew that she couldn’t stay in New Salem so she had run away shortly after half of the coven had met their deaths in an attempt to destroy him. As she turned her back on her heritage, she knew that they had failed at that and that he would return to claim that which he believed was his. She could only hope that he wouldn’t try to claim her child.
